Hello and welcome to First Impressions!
This is an RPG forum where you can join as any person you like from any of Jane Austen's books.
Below are some rules which we expect all members to follow whilst using the forums.
1. When posting anywhere in character, please do not come out of character or start random conversations out of character. We have a chat forum for this.
2. Please check the Celebrity Claims and Character Claims threads to make sure that your chosen celebrity and character is free. Once one person has claimed a celebrity or character, they cannot be claimed by anyone else.*
3. You may join as any character from any book. You will be sorted into the appropriate member group after you post your profile. Profiles must not be posted into specific forums - they will be sorted by an admin after they have been verified.
4. Characters may be rude to each other, but members must not do this. Anyone caught being rude to other members will be suspended. Repeatedly breaking this rule will result in you being banned.
5. You may create multiple accounts if you wish to have more than one character. Only one character per account.
6. You do not have permission to power play. This means that you may say Bob punched Fred, but you may not say Bob punched Fred and he fell to the floor or Bob punched Fred and they started fighting each other. You have to let the other person react.
7. Just to prove that you have read the rules, please post the word Proclamation in your profile.
8. Please do not register with your character name. Register with another name and we will change your name once your profile has been accepted.

*Please note that if you fail to to post your profile and claim your celebrity for a prolonged amount of time then the character may become open again.
